Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947) was a French painter, illustrator and printmaker, known especially for the stylized decorative qualities of his paintings and his bold use of color, founding Member of Les Nabis. Bonnard studied the law and attended art classes. He is one of the most original and accomplished colorists of the 20th century. In 1891 he met Lautrec at Exhibition. He visited the United States in 1926 to serve as a member of the judging panel of the Carnegie International Competition. His artworks in many worldwide Museums.
