Biography:
Kandinsky, Wassily (1866-1944) Russian Artist, first studied law, then art at age 30 studied painting; life-drawing, sketching and anatomy. In 1896 he studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich and later taught at the Bauhaus school of art. In 1933 he moved to France and produced some of his most prominent art. Kandinsky is credited with painting one of the first recognized purely abstract works of art.
