Richard Lindner (1901 –1978) was a German-American painter, born in Germany, mother American, he studied Arts and Crafts School since 1940 Academy of Fine Arts. In 1941 he went to the United States and worked as an illustrator of books and magazines, making contact with German emigrants (Albert Einstein, Marlene Dietrich, Saul Steinberg).
