The term Pop Art was officially introduced in December 1962 when the Museum of Modern Art was organized "Symposium on Pop Art" show. Pop Art is an art movement that started in the United Kingdom and the United States during the late 1950s. The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mass -produced objects. The artists that shaped the pop art movement were (father of pop art) Andy Warhol, Eduardo Paolozzi and Richard Hamilton, Ray Johnson, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns among others.
