Bernard Buffet (1928-1999) was a French painter, printmaker, and sculptor. He was an extremely prolific artist, producing a varied and extensive work. Buffet’s style was exclusively figurative and is often classified as Expressionist. His first museum was founded in 1973 in Japan.
