Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt is one of the most famous and revered 20th-century dog artists. He was born in 1895 in Leipzig, Germany, and died in Munich in 1977. He studied at the Weimar Academy of Fine Arts and became a student under the artists Theodor Hagen and Lionel Feininger.
