Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) was a French artist who, along with her husband Robert Delaunay, co-founded the Orphism art movement, known for its bold use of vibrant colors and geometric forms. In 1964, she became the first living female artist to have an exhibition at the Louvre, and in 1975, she was awarded the title of Officer of the French Legion of Honor.
